Trendy Twine - Get Well

Hi There!

I'm over on the Trendy blog sharing a fun little get well gift. Can you believe we are already at the end of July? Wow, summer is just zooming by! The entire month of July the TT team has been sharing the awesome color Stars and Stripes and I hope you have gained tons of inspiration for projects that you can use this awesome twine not just for patriotic projects! Here is one more :)
Here is an idea for a get well gift. Purchase a plant, herbs or potted flowers and give as a get well gift I think plants and flowers are medicine for the soul :) I put the plant in a cute tin and added a fun handmade tag. Using some TT planner stamps and of course Stars and Stripes Trendy Twine.
I just think this band-aid and medicine bottle are so cute together,

I stamped the stamps and then hand cut them and put them on an embossed die cut circle. I added that fabulous twine and there you have a fun little get well gift :)

Die Cuttin Diva's - Super Hero

Hi There!

It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, we have a fun one for you! Are you a super hero fan or do you know a super hero fan? Well then this is the challenge for you. I made some very clean and simple cards maybe too clean and simple. I used the batman theme and I created them using my gypsy. Can you still believe my gypsy still works - I love that thing!

So I have to tell you after I created each of these shapes, I realized I had SVG's for them :( Oh well! I recently saw a sale at Joann's for some spellbinders celebrations dies they are really cool. They cut then pierce the dots into your project. I bought the rectangle and circles.

I just found some fun shapes in my Cricut library and cut away.  I cut "Pow"

and then "Boom"

I think they might be cute for a super hero bday party :)

Die Cuttin Diva's - Anything 3D

Hi There!

It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week we have a fun challenge - 3D. Our sponsor The Cutting Cafe generously gave the team some files to create with. The file I worked with is the Fun with Blocks
I decided to use the blocks and stack them for a gift. I'm sure you can you tell this gift is for a cowboy fan :) I started with cutting a bunch of die cuts, Cowboy boot, howdy, stars, horseshoe and a TT lasso. I had some really fun cowboy themed paper (yay for being a paper hoarder) I just love the mixing all the patterns together.

Here you can see the Trendy Twine lasso and horse shoe.
and here you can see the large star and boot. I think our cowboy fan will love the fun way I packaged his gift.

Trendy Twine - Bon Voyage

Hi There!

This is Shelly from Mypaperlove sharing a layout showcasing Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine. If you recall back on the 4th of July the team shared a memory keeping post and it sure inspired me to scrapbook some old photos.
I decided to scrap book book some photo's from our very first cruise back in 2004 - yikes! I have so many beautiful scenery shots and so I thought these would make a nice cover page for the album that I will be making over the next ..... I'm not sure how long it will take me hahaha!

I used the Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine to set my color scheme which is pretty perfect for anything nautical. I created a fun anchor and tied the twine around. I think I tend to keep my layouts clean because I like for the pictures to standout too :)
I also added Stars & Stripes Trendy Twine  to the journal label, which I will fill in with some details and dates of our trip.
I'm excited to start scrap booking some of our memories. I can't promise anything but I do have a few more planned out.

Hope you stop by the Trendy Blog this month for lots of inspiration using

Die Cuttin' Diva's - Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone!

Hope you all had a great weekend and if you are in the states hope you had a wonderful Fourth of July!

It's Tuesday and welcome to another challenge day over at DCD, this week is our sketch challenge and we have a really neat one!

I turned the sketch a bit and I used some very summery colors.

I decided to use a die cut photo frame for the sentiment. My background is water colored and I heat embossed the sentiment. Lastly I added some sequins and my card was finished.

Trendy Twine - Memory keeping

Happy 4th of July to all my U.S friends!

The girls over at Trendy Twine are sharing some awesome projects today. We have dedicated this post to memory keeping.  I'm sure there are many of you that wish we could keep up with journaling, memory keeping, scrapbooking.... I just get so busy and the pics end up in a box but at least this one made it to a page :)

This is my son and his cousin that share their birthday every year. Not the exact date but they loved to share it :) I just love this pic and had to give it center stage. This is a 6x6 layout so it's tiny but I find its less intimidating.

I used some die cut balloons and tied them with Cranberry Trendy Twine & Tickled with Teal Trendy Twine. I used a label die and stamped it with a very appropriate stamp "Make a wish".  So here is the embarrassing part... those boys are 24 now. Both graduated college and both have fantastic jobs. Oh well, at least it's in the memory pages now :)
Hope you stop by the Trendy Blog for some inspiration!
