Patched of Pink Link Up time! Halloween Theme

Hi Everyone!

It's my favorite Thursday of the Month! It's Link -up time over at Patches of Pink. The theme this month is Halloween.  I really wanted to create a home d├ęcor item. I decided on creating blocks that I can display on a shelf.  I started with 3.5” blocks that my sweet hubby cut for me, and then adhered cardstock paper and letters.  I used fast finish decoupage to finish the blocks. I love the results but I will say that I had to redo the doodling as some of the lines made with the white gel pen turned yellow, next time I will just do the doodling last.  This is really a great product, it's tack free and the finish is really smooth!
I added a few little details that matched my theme and I really like how it turned out.

Please pop over to the Patches of Pink blog and have a look at the creations this week, They are sure to WOW you!
The letters were cut using the Blackletter Cricut Cartridge

This adorable little spider is from the Mini Monsters Cricut cartridge

This cute little bat is from the Simply charmed Cricut Cartridge

This is a paper rosette made for a .5 inch strip of DCWV paper.

Thank you for stopping by and please link up your Halloween project at Patches of Pink.

Halloween Treat Box

Hi Everyone!

Wow, the days just zoom by..... our family is just so busy!
Here is a treat box that I created a while back and just managed to finish this morning.  I am entering this in a few challenges.  I used TBBM for the box and with my gypsy I inserted a circle and then placed the spiderweb inside the circle. I filled it with candy corn and topped it off with some ribbon, a button, and a cute little brad.
Have a GREAT day everyone!

Trick or Treat - Skeleton

Hi Everyone!

Hope your weekend was great! We had a B-day party and my Mom was here so not too much time to create but I did manage to finish this card that I started last week.  I still have about 3 more projects to finish. My little one started flag football and will have practice Tue & Thurs. My oldest will begin winter ball so my weeks are filling up. I will return to work Oct. 21st so I'm trying to create and then I can schedule posts when I can't find time to craft.
I created this card for two challenges this week. My Craft Spot - Too cute to Spook & Paper Cutz Challenge - Shake, Rattle, & Roll - A Cricut cut image of a skeleton or skull & crossbones, BUT make it CUTE and NOT SPOOKY!

So here is my card! I distressed the edges by lightly wetting the cardstock (just the edges) and then running my scissors along the edge. I then inked the edges with Tim Holtz vintage photo ink. Lastly I add stickles to the sign and some of the images on the background paper.
Card 5.5" x 4.25"
Cartridge PDDU
Paper - DCWV, Recollections
